The work
A portrait sitting is the single fastest brand or family upgrade money can buy. One hour, one lens, one direct light source — and an image that travels for the next decade. I shoot portraits at the Falkirk studio or on-location across Edinburgh and the Central Belt.
How I shoot
I don't shoot 600 frames and hope. I shoot 30–50 deliberate frames per sitting, on a tethered laptop, with the subject seeing every image in real time. The result is one definitive portrait, not a contact sheet of near-misses.

Where is the portrait studio?
Falkirk — 40 minutes from Edinburgh, 35 from Glasgow. On-location sittings in Edinburgh are an option for an additional travel-included fee.
Do you retouch the images?
Yes — every delivered portrait is fully retouched, colour-graded, and supplied in print and web sizes.
Can I use the images commercially?
Yes — every portrait commission includes full commercial usage rights for the subject, perpetual, worldwide.
How quickly are portraits delivered?
10 working days for a single sitting; 14 days for a team or family commission.
