Glasgow Headshot Photographer
Professional headshots in Glasgow by Ross Nixon Photography. High-end editorial portraits for business, actors, and LinkedIn, delivered through a straightforward, efficient process at your office or a city location.
Standard corporate photography is often dull and repetitive. If you need a headshot in Glasgow that actually looks like a human being rather than a plastic cutout, I can help. I work with business professionals in the IFSD, actors preparing for their next role, and creative teams across the city. Whether we are using the backdrop of the modern architecture at Pacific Quay or setting up a mobile studio in a boardroom on St Vincent Street, the goal is the same: a clean, sharp image that carries weight. I do not do awkward poses or generic smiles. I provide editorial-quality portraits that work for your brand, your LinkedIn profile, and your press releases.

Questions people ask
- Where do the sessions take place?
- I come to you. Most Glasgow headshots are taken at the client's place of work or at a pre-agreed outdoor location in the city centre. If you do not have a dedicated office space, we can arrange a studio hire or use a street-style urban backdrop. My mobile lighting setup allows me to create a professional studio look in almost any indoor environment regardless of the window light available.
- How long does a headshot session take?
- For an individual, I usually suggest blocking out one hour. This gives us plenty of time to test a few different angles and change a jacket or tie. For large corporate teams, I can work through a roster quickly, often taking as little as ten minutes per person while still maintaining a high standard of quality. I work around your business hours to minimise disruption.
- What should I wear for my headshot?
- Wear what you would wear to meet a high-value client. Solid colours usually work better than busy patterns, which can be distracting on camera. Make sure your clothes are ironed and fit well. It is often a good idea to bring an extra layer, like a blazer or different knitwear, to give us two distinct looks from a single session. Avoid reflective jewellery or heavy branding unless it is part of your specific business identity.
- How quickly will I get my photos?
- I understand that you often need these images for a pending launch or press deadline. You will receive a link to a proofing gallery within two working days of the shoot. Once you have selected your final images for retouching, the finished high-resolution files are typically delivered via digital download within five working days. If you have an urgent deadline, let me know in advance and I will do my best to accommodate.
- Do you offer group discounts for companies?
- Yes. My individual headshot rate is for one person, but I offer day and half-day rates for Glasgow businesses that need their entire staff photographed. This is much more cost-effective for teams of five or more. I provide a consistent style and lighting setup so that new hires can be photographed at a later date and still match the existing team photos on your website.
